Founder and CEO Jamshid Ashourian formed JimmyAsh LLC in 2004. He wanted to figure out how to make everyday, popular foods without those unwanted and unnecessary things like preservatives, GMOs and saturated fats without them losing the taste and texture that made them so popular in the first place. He wanted them made from fresh ingredients and to use as little processing as possible.
A partnership with a major Midwest university’s food processing center set him on the right path. And, when existing manufacturing equipment couldn’t do the job properly, he and engineering collaborators designed, tested and built ones that could. It’s taken 15 years of collaboration and hard work to make his dream a reality. And now, the dream has expanded both in scope and in numbers. In 2015, JimmyAsh completed construction of its first, state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Bakersfield, Calif. Here, our delicious Water-Air Cooked™ snack foods are made, always using ingredients sourced in the United States.
